COMMUNITY

Community is AT the heart of What we do

Wellbeing stems from caring for our minds and bodies; through a balanced connection with ourselves, and healthy, happy, supportive relationships with those around us.

With this is mind I created the “Soulty Sea Dogs” a small group of supporters from various backgrounds, that I’m in regular contact with.  Their advice helps shape my offerings, making sure what I do is as inclusive and enjoyable as possible. There is also the “Soulty Crew” a larger group of you that I’m in touch with more infrequently.  It's fundamentally a steering group, who meet via zoom and in person, giving me feedback and sharing ideas.

Partnership and collaborative working has been a huge part of ‘The Soulty Surfers’ growth so far. Working with community groups and like-minded businesses, developing projects and supporting each other, sharing skills, resources, and a desire to see our communities thrive.

“Cultivate inner peace, to be at peace with those around you. When our community is in a state of peace, it can share that peace with neighbouring communities.” ~ Dalai Lama

Sharing the stoke

I want to say thank you! Without your support and that of other community groups and businesses in the area ‘The Soulty Surfer’ wouldn’t be where it is today, and for that I am so, so grateful.

So here’s a shout-out and an acknowledgment of that, and of the diverse range of voices in our community. So many of you who share the same values and passions.

Thanks for your encouragement and the opportunities that have come my way through these good vibes and similar values. I love sharing the stoke with all of you and look forward to seeing where we go next together.

Would you like to support this community to Grow?

What I do comes from my heart. It’s my full-time work and is an act of service to the community around me. As a sole trader and single person, I support myself (and my cat Lily!) to be well, healthy, and energised: the best version of myself.

When I created ‘The Soulty Surfer’, I found it grew from my own experiences and the struggles I encountered on my journey, and from discovering what brings me joy and balance.’ I know what it is like to feel disconnected, alone and misunderstood.
